Get to Know Me
Rebecca Brown, MS OTR/L brings nearly 30 years of experience to the adolescent and adult communities of the South Shore of Massachusetts. She earned her undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation Services and her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Springfield College.
Rebecca has extensive experience providing care for all age groups and health conditions. She has a strong background in complex medical conditions and extensive experience in home health, safety, fall assessment and prevention. The majority of her career has been spent working in home care with a prominent home health care agency on the South Shore where she provided home care OT services. Rebecca is highly skilled in environmental modifications, teaching self care strategies and providing training for caregivers. She is passionate about allowing clients to remain at home as independently as possible.
Her additional training and certifications include: HARP (Hazard Assessment Removal Program) Occupational Therapist, Certified Home Health and Hospice Case Manager, training in neuro-developmental treatment approaches, specialty training and certification in neuro-cognitive assessment and treatment, and training in caregiving strategies for those with dementia.
Rebecca is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Licensed Occupational Therapist (#OT 7598), is registered therapist with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association. She is CPR certified through the American Heart Association.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family. She is an avid runner and skier. She is committed to her community and can be seen volunteering with local senior centers and schools.
Home Safety Assessments
This is a service not covered by insurance companies or Medicare, which often results in patients returning home without the proper equipment or necessary home modifications. Having a general contractor on staff ensures that all adjustments are completed correctly and safely.
